I want to ask you if i can install the sims 3 and TS World of adventures, ambitions, late. And I couldn't load the Expansion pack, because it said the Sims file was. Extract the THE.SIMS.3.GENERIC.PATCHER.EXE file from the File Archive to the BIN directory. Execute the THE.SIMS.3.GENERIC.PATCHER.EXE file to apply the fix. Play the Game!
Hello,
One day I was deleting my cache files before I went in game, to make the game run smoother... as I usually would do.
Some how, the computer decided to delete over 200 files at the same time.
Alot of my cc was taken out, so slowly, I restored everything.
Sadly, then the launcher would not install my files again... So I got the tip to delete the missingdeps.idx file from my DCchache folder, and that helped a few times with installing but then stopped.
The file never regenerated itself, and the game would start at all, so I restored the file from the trash bin.
After trying and trying, I converted everything to package files and installed that way.
Half way through this process, I decided to test the game. It would not start... no matter how long I left it.
I decided to try and by-pass the launcher.
Carls-Guide said to go to Computer (C:), Electronic Arts, find my base game folder, and look for Look for TS3W.exe
However, I only have folders for the expansions. No base game is listed.
Also, my most recent game is WA, downloaded from origin... so there's no file to start it that way.
The latest game from a CD is Into The Future, but there's no .exe file, and when I start it from TS3EP11, it just opens the launcher...
If anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it
